West African Students’ Union Award to Hill City University
On Friday 5th April 2019 The Hill City University Benin welcomed over 7 guests from the West Africa Student Union Nigeria, who came to present the university with certificates to highlight their academic achievements.
Few key Office with in the university where presented award, such office are ; The Admission Office, The Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor and the office of the Vice President.
The West African Students’ Union, founded in London in 1925 and active into the 1960s, was an association of students from various West African countries, West African Students’ Union Nigerian Zone Based in northern Nigeria. Present in the Event where Representative from 7 Northern State in Nigeria, among which was the Public Relation Officer Mr Nasiru Ibrahim and the Secretary, Mr Comrade Abubakar.
Guests went round the university observing many of the event going on, some of which was the entrepreneurship training (HET) Organized By the University to help empower students of the university and coordinated by Mrs Champion Kpateghe. Other activities experience by the guest was an interview by Mr Vincent Nnana at the university’s Radio Station.
The guest met with the Vice President at 12:00 pm, where the association introduced themselves and demonstrated their Aluta greetings and Salutations. The meeting was very brief and agenda based, which main consisted of the presentation of Awards.
Award of Excellence was given to the Office of the Vice President , Deputy Vice Chancellor and the Head of Admission After a citation was read about the Vice President. The proceedings were expertly overseen by Head of Admission , Mr Champion Aghogho Kpateghe and a vote of thanks and certificate of Acknowledgement presentation to the West Africa Student Union.
All guests were invited to join staff and our community partners for refreshments after the formalities and photographs had taken place.
